HP Indigo Customer Letter
HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press Launch
July 2014
Dear Launch Customer,
We are pleased to inform you, the owner of a new HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press, about the launch process and
the features of your press.
HP Indigo views product quality as the most important aspect in ensuring the satisfaction of our customers.
We intend to work closely with you during onsite training and afterward, to gain the practical experience that
can only be gained in a production environment. This close collaboration is invaluable to us.
Your feedback regarding the functionality and reliability of this press and its component is highly appreciated
and will be carefully reviewed and implemented as applicable.
Together, we will ensure that all HP Indigo customers receive products that exceed their expectations and
open new, profitable opportunities.
Introduction
During the last few months, the HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press has gone through an extensive internal design
and testing process. However, some issues might still occur. We ask for your support in identifying and
reporting those issues.
During the introduction phase, a dedicated core team from HP Indigo is available for contact and on weekly or
bi-weekly conference calls, aimed at dealing with on-demand issues that are not solved through the existing
channels. These calls do not replace the weekly engagements with WW Technical Support, which are led by
Avi Gerbi.
The introduction phase is the final step in the press qualification process. The purpose of this introduction
phase is to make sure that the product exceeds customers’ expectations.
The press may only be operated by HP Indigo 7000 Series Digital Presses trained personnel. All doors must
be closed, no bypass keys may be used, and the press must be attended at all times.
HP Indigo uses the HP IndigoServe data collection system to receive fast and accurate data, which helps the
HP Indigo R&D department understand how the press is performing. Therefore the HP Indigo 7800 Digital
Press must be connected to HP IndigoServe.
Introduction phase stages
Our intent is to get your feedback and to implement staged improvements. Your initial feedback is critical to
our ongoing program.
The introduction phase is divided into stages. Starting with installation, and finishing with the release of the
final version, after gathering all the feedback and making the necessary corrections. This process supports
the gradual progression of the introduction phase, in terms of press capabilities, performance, knowledge
transfer, and upgrade integration. This creates a clear path forward for the introduction phase.
